ScreamingToaster is a private company that builds digital lifestyle platforms, products, services, and content. These digital lifestyle offerings include social networking products (applications and services) that are tied to specialized or expert content. The platform includes support for desktop, web/browser based, and mobile delivery of applications, services, and content.
Platform
The ScreamingToaster family of products, services, and content is powered by a common "platform". The platform provides the common software infrastructure required to build the applications (desktop, browser based, and mobile) and services that are required by various properties. Properties are offerings made to consumers, they are the end product - a compelling combination of applications, services, content, and an awesome user experience, that is the basis of what we call "digital lifestyle". The platform ensures a consistent user experience, a common look and feel, and features that customers can expect to be present in each and ever ScreamingToaster property. The platform is built to deliver this user experience to all common platforms - Windows, Mac, Linux, Blackberry, etc.
Properties
The properties are what customers experience and interact with using their PCs, Macs, laptops, desktops, Blackberries, and other computers, phones, and consumer electronic devices. Properties are built around a central theme or concept, and this concept provides the common starting place for people to collaborate, communicate, and share information and build a community around. Applications (apps) and services in a property are drawn from the common platform that’s mentioned above. Each property may have shared apps and services, but the content and concept is unique to that property. Here are some properties that we offer.

developerlife is a premier resource for original technical content related to Java, XML, mobile/wireless, Web2.0/AJAX, and RIAs development. Product and service reviews, along with technical and market analysis is provided as well. This is an ad supported property. See the developerlife website for more details.
mylisty is a set of applications (desktop, web, mobile) and services that take a completely new look at how to-do lists, shopping lists, etc. can be implemented. mylisty plans to change the way we think about humble lists. It will enable collaborative list creation by multiple people; when lists are updated, all the widgets and gadgets that show that list will be updated as well. Geocoding for lists will also be supported, which will enable you to do really useful things with lists that you haven’t thought of yet!

fasterlap is built by track driving enthusiasts for track driving enthusiasts. Applications (web, desktop, and mobile) are provided that allow people to participate in discussion forums together, and consume content like track and car reviews. All expert content will be posted with multiple perspectives, so that different kinds of users will benefit from the content. Users will be able to track resource consumption (tires, brakes, etc) as they attend track events, and they can share this information on their blogs, websites, etc. This will be a subscription based service. drivelikeagirl is all about car culture from a female perspective. Applications (web, desktop, and mobile) are provided that allow women to participate in discussion forums together, organize get together’s, and consume content that is relevant to women. We will have more details on the drivelikeagirl site soon. This will be a subscription based service.
