Aug 06 2009, 9.00pm EST – We’ve just released version 1.2 of Wicked Blogging App. This is a minor upgrade, which means that Wicked will ask you to upgrade it, but won’t require it. We strongly urge you to upgrade to this version for the following reasons.

1. Twitpic integration

In addition to being able to update your status message via Twitter, you can now upload your status image using twitpic. Just snap a pic, update your status message, and press “Save & Tweet”. That simple

2. GPS issues and Autonomous GPS

For users having issues with GPS location (Verizon customers, and some ATT customers), I’ve added an autonomous GPS location lookup feature. To tell Wicked to find your location, just go to your user profile screen. You will see a new globe icon. Press it and you will be able to have Wicked get your location using GPS just like your car GPS system does. We’ve also issued some updates to make Wicked more battery efficient with GPS lookups.

3. Minor bug fixes

The User Profile screen wasn’t showing the days remaining on your license, it does now.

4. Automatic upgrade

For those of you with v1.0, this is what you will see the next time you login to Wicked.

If you press “Yes”, then Wicked will launch the browser and take you directly to the download page for the app, and Wicked will quit.

After installing the new version, just go ahead and Reboot. When your BlackBerry has booted, you will see Wicked in the Downloads folder. So if you put it somewhere else before just move it back.
