Version 1.5 of all ScreamingToaster apps are now available. Here are the major changes in this release (that apply to all apps):

Payment Popup

The issue that required the App to be restarted when the payment popup appeared, while the App was no longer connected to the cloud has now been resolved. Customers can pay for the app from within the app without any problems.

UI Changes

UI Changes to accommodate the Tour and other BlackBerry devices.

1. The Tour’s 4.7 OS has slightly different controls (like the drop down list) and we had to make sure that some of the UI elements fit correctly on the screen.
2. Also, for BB devices with smaller screens, we try to optimize the UI to fit on those as much as possible, WITHOUT compromising ANY fidelity on Tour, Storm, Bold, and Javelin! We will not water down the experience or capabilities of the latest/greatest OS/hardware for the sake of supporting older/less capable devices.
3. Minor bug fixes – some messages and icons.

Multithreading & Animation

Optimization to the multithreading strategy and implementation in the app. This is a pretty major change since 1.3 release.

1. The number of background threads have been minimized to provide a much smoother user interface, and consume as few CPU cycles as is possible to do thread management. It also ended up reducing the memory footprint of all the apps, which is another huge bonus! Over all better battery life, less RAM usage, and faster apps!
2. The new transition animation framework is also introduced in MyListy Pro & DulyNoted Pro that makes interaction with the apps more organic, fluid, and FUN! It benefits from the threading optimizations as well, to provide a rich and smooth animations, without any hiccups/jerkiness.
3. We’ve stress tested/burned in our animation framework and multithreading libraries on BlackBerry devices running non-stop, performing multiple tasks and constantly running animations for 5 hours straight! This is more stress than anyone will put on these apps for weeks . The burn in test required a set of heavy duty animations to run CONSTANTLY for 5 hours, while transferring data from network in the background and processing it (1KB per second, every second, for 5 hours straight! At ScreamingToaster we put our software thru grueling tests that most people never will; when it passes our tests, our app is ready to deliver you enterprise-grade performance and scalability, in consumer apps.

NOTE: For those with older versions, you will get a prompt to upgrade to this release when you login with your app(s) the next time. This update is a MINOR update.
